Thanoa people facing multiple problems: Magotra

UDHAMPUR, Oct 18: Senior Congress leader from Udhampur Sumeet Magotra discussed the burning issues of the people from Upper Thanoa and urged the authorities to address their issues.
During interaction with the people, the locals of the area disclosed that a large number of widow pension cases are pending in Social Welfare department from a very long period. They further said Government has constructed a pond in the Government School premises and it required wall in surroundings of this pond to avoid any unwanted incident. Speakers again disclosed that 5 Kms Kaldi to Pallen road is black topped but there is no Matador service on this road resulting senior citizens are facing inconvenient.
Speakers also demanded a Police Chowki near Temple because burglars have attempted many times to broke the locks of the temple and nearest police post is 25 Kms away from this place.
Magotra expressed that it is unfortunate Upper Thnoa village is facing multiple problems. He assured them that he will take up their issues with the concerned higher authorities. He also assured that he will also bring the issue of Matador service on Kaldi to Pallen road into the notice ARTO Udhampur.
Magotra criticized District Administration for inaction and said that Back to Village Program of BJP has proved failure as basic issues of the villagers are not being addressed.
