NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha on Thursday passed The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2021 and The Puducherry Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill, 2021 by voice-vote.
Supplementary Demands for Grants in respect of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for 2020-21 was also passed by the Lok Sabha.
Demands for Grants on Account in respect of the Union Territory of Puducherry for 2021-22 was also passed. The Puducherry Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill, 2021, The Puducherry Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill, 2021 were also passed by the House.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said: “Estimated expenditure for Jammu and Kashmir has increased this year, so has revenue.’ She said that development work in the Union Territory was being speeded up.
“Not one community in Jammu and Kashmir exempted from benefits of development,” she said while speaking about various projects that have been already completed.
