JAMMU, Sept 13: The Performer Group released the aarti of Surya Putri Tawishi at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu the other day.
As per a statement, the CD of the audio-video aarti highlights the importance and the history of the Tawi River in Jammu region.
Prominent people who attended the aarti releasing function were Hridyanand Swami, Ritu Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, Priya Sethi, Raman Bhalla, RK Gupta, Varinder Singh, Namrata Sharma, Gaurav Chopra, SDPO City Kulbir Handa, SHO Arti Thakur, SHO Kirti Sharma besides other guests.
Addressing the gathering during the launch of the aarti, Sunaina Mehta, Joint Director, Tourism claimed that this was the first-ever initiative taken by the Performer Group to promote the heritage and culture of the region.
She hoped the Group will continue with its efforts towards promotion of the rich culture of the region.
Ritu Singh also appreciated the efforts of the Performer Group in coming up with the unique initiative of the aarti of Suryaputri Tawishi.
Other speakers who spoke on the occasion were Maha Mandleshwar Rameshwar Dass, who appreciated the efforts of Urja Singh in promotion of the religious culture of India.
Prominent personalities of Jammu who participated in the aarti included Ravinder Sharma, Vinay Duggar, Rekha Sharma, Sandhya Sharma, Vijay Jittu, Rabiya Khajuria, Kulbir Kaur, Sunidhi Sharma, Khawaish Gupta, and others.
The aarti has been sung by Neelam Bhardwaj, produced by Urja Singh, directed by Aditya Bhanu, composed by Gaurav, conceptualised by Urja Singh. While Vikram Singh was DOP, Vishal Mangotra was the production manager of the aarti.
Earlier, Urja Singh presented the welcome address and the vote of thanks was presented by Neelam Bhardwaj.
