JAMMU, Mar 31: A thief decamped with goods worth lakhs and Rs 30,000 cash from a Paan shop at Kacchi Chhawni area here.
Police claim they have identified the thief and booked him under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Pacca Danga, with further efforts underway to put him behind the bars soon.
A thief broke open the lock of Gandotra Pan House in Kacchi Chhawni area on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday and decamped with packets of cigarettes, along with other goods worth lakhs, along with Rs 30,000 cash, a police official said.
“On the complaint of the owner of the shop, we have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law and started further investigation to nab the accused. He’ll be behind the bars soon,” he said.
