Theft case solved, 2 held

Srinagar, Feb 10: Police in Bandipora today said to have solved a theft case by arresting two accused involved in the crime and recovering stolen property from their possession.
Police said, on 03/01/2022, Police Station Sumbal received a written complaint from Nazir Ahmad Reshi of Nesbal Tengpora to the effect that during the intervening night of 2-3/01/2022 “some unknown thief/thieves have broken down the Shutter of his shop situated at Naninara, Sumbal and stolen away Kiryana items and some cash from his Shop.”
Accordingly, police said, a case vide FIR No. 02/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Sumbal and investigation was initiated.
“During the investigation, officers zeroed in on two suspects identified as Kaiser Nazir Parray @Raja, son of Nazir Ahmad Parray resident of Asham and Inayat Ahmad Reshi, son of Late Ab Rashid Reshi, resident of Nesbal Sumbal,” police said.
“On their disclosure, the stolen items mentioned below have been recovered. Edible Oil ( PIR ) 15 Kgs each, 08 Nos, Cigarette Four Square, 20 Boxes (containing 400 packets) and Dry Tea (SAMAVAR), 05 Kgs,” police said.
Police said that further investigation is going on and more recoveries and arrests are expected.
