Theft case solved; 2 juveniles among 4 arrested, 37 stolen batteries recovered

JAMMU, June 15: Bahu Fort Police solved theft case with the arrest of four persons including two juveniles and recovery of 37 stolen batteries.
As per police sources, on June 11 this year, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Deepak Daftari, son of Pushkar Nath Daftari of Trikuta Nagar with Police Station Bahu Fort stating that some unknown thieves have stolen 37 batteries from his shop number 18 at Yard Number 6, Transport Nagar Narwal, District Jammu.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 220/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania was constituted under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Sharma.
The team reached on the spot and with the help of CCTV footages and other technical aid arrested four thieves including two juveniles.
Two thieves were identified as Mohammad Kousar, son of Kabir Hussain of Burma, at present Kiryani Talab Narwal District Jammu and Surinder Sharma, son of Bishan Dass of Greater Kailash. The identities of two juveniles were not disclosed according to the law.
During sustained questioning, accused confessed their involvement in the above mentioned case and on their disclosure 37 stolen batteries were recovered. One vehicle bearing registration number JK14B-7129 was recovered and seized accordingly.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases.
