JAMMU, May 25: Nowabad Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering three stolen motor bikes on his disclosure.
“Acting on a complaint lodged at Police Post Talab Tillo regarding theft in the area, a special police team under the supervision of Deputy SP Headquarters Swati Sharma was constituted to crack the case,” a police spokesman said.
He said the team led by SHO Police Station Nowabad Inspector Vijay Kumar assisted by Incharge Police Post Talab Tillo PSI Rajesh Kumar with the help of various CCTV footages of the area finally arrested the accused person Ankush Rathore son of Jai Nand Kumar, resident of Rusulabad Kanpur, U P (at present living at Bhagwati Nagar, Talab Tillo, Jammu) and on his disclosure recovered three motorcycles stolen by him.
“The stolen motorcycles – one Super Splendor bearing registration number JK02CE-0287, one Bajaj DTS-I bearing CH number MD2A14AZ5CPH36513 and one Hero Honda Ambition bearing engine number 04J60M05093, were seized by the police,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
