Theft case solved

JAMMU, Feb 27: A theft case was solved by police station Bakshi Nagar Jammu by arresting two thieves and recovering stolen items from their possession.
“Acting on a complaint lodged by a person namely Abhinash Kumar son of Mukand Lal, resident of Loorkote Rajouri (at present Gurha, Bakshi Nagar) that some unknown burglars stole his laptop along with charger and bluetooth ear buds, a case FIR number 33/2021 under Section 454/380 IPC got registered at police station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started,” a police official said.
He said, accordingly a special team of police station Bakshi Nagar under the supervision of SDPO Dr Amit Sharma were constituted to solve the case. “With strenuous efforts of the police team led by SHO police station Bakshi Nagar Inspector Manjeet Singh and with the help of technical assistance and CCTV footages of the area, two suspects namely Hunny Chopra son of late Kamal Kumar Chopra of Green Enclave Rehari (Jammu) and Shashwat Bakshi son of late Narinder Kumar Bakshi of Bakshi Nagar (Jammu) were rounded up,” he added.
The official said during sustained questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in the theft case and on their disclosure, one laptop along with charger and ear buds were recovered.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain their involvement in other such cases.
