Theft case solved, accused held

JAMMU, Aug 5: With the arrest of an individual, police in Jammu’s RS Pura area claimed today that they have solved a theft case within hours of registration of the crime.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was received at Police Station Miran Sahib from the office of Block Medical Officer (BMO) RS Pura today regarding the theft of one desktop, one mouse, a keyboard, and one charger from PHC Simbal Camp.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 129/2023 under Sections 457, 380 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation taken up.
Accordingly, the police spokesperson said that special police team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna and assisted by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Bopinder Singh rounded up one suspect identified as Rajinder Singh of Simbal Camp, Ward number 1, Tehsil RS Pura.
During questioning, the accused confessed his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure, the stolen items were recovered, said the police spokesperson.
Further investigations are on, he added.
