JAMMU, Dec 6: Talab Tillo Police today claimed to have solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering stolen items on his disclosure.
Acting on a complaint lodged at Police Post Talab Tillo by one person namely Dhruv Magotra of Gandhi Nagar (Jammu) that some unknown person broke his car window glass at Akhnoor Road near Kohli Farms and stole gold ornaments along with clothes from his car, a case FIR Number 145/22 u/s 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
During investigation conducted by a special team of Police Post Talab Tillo constituted under the supervision of Deputy SP Headquarters Swati Sharma, a suspect namely Rohit Taneja son of late Des Raj of RS Pura was rounded up and after intense questioning, he confessed his involvement in the theft case.
On disclosure of the accused, stolen items viz. one gold chain, one gold pendant, one pair of ear rings, one ladies suit and one ladies shawl, were recovered. Further investigation of the case was going on.
