Theft case solved, stolen items worth Rs 1.5 lakh recovered

JAMMU, Apr 6: Police claimed today that they have solved a theft case registered at Police Post Chinnore and recovered stolen items worth Rs 1.5 lakh from the burglars.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged at Police Post Chinnore regarding theft of 50 iron shuttering plates from Chinnore.
Accordingly, he said, a case FIR number 84/2023 under section 379 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation started.
Post registration of FIR, he further said that special police teams of Police Post Chinnore under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh were constituted.
He added that the teams led by SHO Domana Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal assisted by incharge Police Post Chinnore, PSI Rajesh Kumar arrested a suspect Talib Hussain alias Shammu of Takku Chakk Domana, who during sustained questioning, confessed his involvement in the crime along with his associates Mohammad Asgar and Vishal Jamwal, both residents of Nardani, Bantallab, and Raqib from Chinnore.
“On their disclosure, the stolen iron shuttering plates worth Rs 1,50,000 were recovered,” the police spokesperson said, adding, “further investigation is on.”
The overall recoveries were made under the supervison of SP Rural Rahul Charak.
