Theft case solved, two arrested

JAMMU, Aug 27: Nagrota Police solved a theft case with the arrest of two accused.
As per police sources, on August 11 this year, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Rakesh Kumar, son of Prithvi Raj of Sector 11 Nanak Nagar District Jammu with Police Station Nagrota regarding theft of six tyres of oil tankers worth Rs 2,40,000 from Petrol Pump Nagrota.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 349/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Nagrota led by SHO Inspector Mohammad Shoket was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of analysis of CCTV footages of the area and human intervention, finally nabbed the thieves, who were identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Shah Mansha of Nai Basti Khanpur Nagrota and Mohammad Mushtaq, son of Charag Din of Karwah Jaganu District Udhampur, at present Ganeshu Chak Phallian Mandal District Jammu.
On their disclosure, police team recovered 6 stolen tyres worth Rs 2.40 lakh from their possession.
Further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases.
