Theft case worked out

RAMBAN, Oct 11: With the arrest of an individual, Police in this District claimed today that they have worked out a theft case.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged at Police Station Dharmkund by one Vikram Singh son of Omkar Singh of Ward number 1, Ramban, regarding the theft of RT feeder cables from a tower at Gandheri, Dharamkund, amounting to Rs 48000.
Acting on the complaint, he said, a case FIR number 38/2023 under sections 379, 511 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Dharmkund and investigation taken up.
During investigation, the police spokesperson said that a special team of Police Station Dharmkund led by Inspector Rajeev Kumar, SHO Dharmkund, under the supervision of Nihar Ranjan, SDPO Gool, Gaurav Mahajan, Additional SP Ramban and overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Mohita Sharma, apprehended one person identified as Bhushan Kumar of Sanasar, Batote.
During sustained questioning, the apprehended individual confessed to his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure, the stolen cables amount to Rs 48000 were recovered from his possession, said the police spokesperson.
Further investigation into the case is underway,
