JAMMU, Mar 17: Police in Gandhi Nagar area here claimed to have solved a theft case besides making the recovery of the stolen items worth around Rs 2 lakh.
A police spokesperson said that on January 11, 2024, an FIR was registered after a theft of an auto was reported by one Rishi Pal Singh of Nanak Nagar Jammu.
He said during the course of investigation under the guidance of SHO Gandhi Nagar, some suspects were rounded up for questioning.
During sustained questioning, he said, one Sunny Kumar of Tallab Tillo, Jammu, confessed to his involvement in the theft and on his disclosure, the stolen vehicle worth around Rs 2.18 lakh was recovered.
