Theft case worked out

JAMMU, July 22: Police here in RS Pura area claimed to have worked out a theft case with the arrest of a thief and recovery of the stolen motorcycle form his possession.
A police spokesperson said that one Ravinder Singh son of Bachan Singh of old Agra Chak, RS Pura reported theft of his motorcycle at Police Station RS Pura through a written complaint.
On this, he said, special teams of Police Station RS Pura led by SDPO concerned, Nikhil Gogna, assisted by SHO RS Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar, rounded up a suspect with the help of technical assistance, who was identified as Narinder Singh alias Munna of Satrayan.
During questioning, the accused confessed to his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was recovered, said the police spokesperson.
Police have arrested the accused and booked him in case FIR number 104/2023 under Section 379 of the IPC registered at Police Station RS Pura and taken up further investigation.
