Theft case worked out

JAMMU, Oct 6: With the arrest of one person, Police in Bishnah area here claimed today that they have solved a theft case.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged by one Suresh Kumar son of Waryam Dass of Village Pandorian, Tehsil Bishnah, stating therein that some unidentified thieves decamped with a stabilizer, inverter, battery and some cash from Shri Peer Baba shrine situated at Village Morchapur.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 224/2023 under section 379 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation started.
During the course of investigation, he added that special teams of Police Station Bishnah led by SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, and assisted by SHO Bishnah Inspector Vikram Sharma, rounded up one suspect identified as Tirth Ram of Chak Avtara, Bishnah, Jammu.
During sustained questioning, the accused confessed to his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure the stolen items were recovered from his possession, said the police spokesperson.
Further investigations into the case are underway.
