Theft case worked out, bike lifter held

JAMMU, July 5: With the arrest of an individual, police here claimed that they have worked out a theft case.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged at Police Station Miran Sahib by one Jagmohan Singh son of Bhajan Singh of Bera Chakrohi, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu, regarding theft of a motorcycle.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 118/2023 under section 379 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
Followed by this, the police spokesperson said that special teams of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SDPO RS Pura Inspector Nikhil Gogna, assisted by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Bopinder Singh, with the help of CCTV footages and other human intelligence, arrested a suspect who was identified as Jagdeep Kumar of Bun Sultan, Miran Sahib.
During questioning, the suspect confessed to his involvement in the crime and on his disclosure, the stolen vehicle was recovered, said the police spokesperson.
