Theft case worked out, girl arrested

JAMMU, June 1: Police today worked out a theft case and arrested a girl.
Police spokesman said that, on May 30, a complaint was lodged in the Trikuta Nagar Police Station by Jatinder Krishan, son of Radha Krishan, resident of Shastri Nagar, regarding the theft of Rs 2,58, 500 and three silver coins worth Rs 10,000 from Nepolean Wine Trader, Narwal Bye Pass.
Police registered a case under FIR No 105/ 12 and started investigation. During the investigation, it came to fore that some insider had done this theft and rounded several employees including a girl.
After sustained questioning, the girl broke down and confessed the crime, spokesman said, adding, that the girl disclosed that she has stolen Rs 2, 48,500 and also withdrawn cash worth Rs 11,500 from the J&K Bank branch, Shastri Nagar, through complainant’s signed cheques.
He said that the police have recovered Rs 2,43,500 cash, 2 silver coins and one blank cheque from the house of the girl.
Police team headed by SS Sambyal, SDPO City East and Sunil Singh Jasrotia, SHO Police Station Trikuta Nagar, under the supervision of SP City South, Rajeshwar Singh, worked out the case.
