Theft case worked out, stolen vehicles recovered

JAMMU, Apr 28: With the arrest of one person, Police claimed today that they have worked out a theft case and recovered several stolen vehicles from Miran Sahib Area here.
A police spokesperson said that a complaint was lodged by one Pardeep Kumar son of Yash Pal of Jassore, RS Pura alleging therein that his motorcycle (Royal Enfield) was stolen by some unidentified persons.
On this, he said, a case FIR number 87/2023 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, the police spokesperson said that special team of Police Station Miran Sahib led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq rounded up a suspect identified as Mohammad Saleem of Kallali Tibba, Gujjar Basti, Miran Sahib.
“The suspect confessed to his involvement in the vehicle theft case during sustained questioning by the police team,” said the spokesperson, adding that on the disclosure of the accused, the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
“Further investigation is on,” he added.
