Theft in 3 shops at Surankote

POONCH, Aug 19: Three shops were burgled by some unknown thieves in main market Surankote town last night.
The local shopkeepers said that thieves looted three shops including Mobile phones belonging to Rohit Dutt, grocery shop of Mohd Latief and goldsmith shop belonging to Abdul Ghani in the main Bazaar Surankote town during the intervening night of Aug 18-19.
They decamped with huge cash, gold items, mobile phones besides other articles from these shops. They apparently broke the shutters by using pressure jacks of heavy vehicles and entered into the shops.
Two thieves are clearly being seen in CCTV footage while doing theft in these shops. The traders said that there was police patrolling during night in the main market and despite this, these thieves broken the shops and committed thefts. They demanded action against the cops on night duty.
Station House Officer, Insp Rajveer when contacted said that some mobile phones and other items have been taken away by thieves and case has been registered in this connection. The police was investigating into the matter.
