POONCH, Apr 15: The police in Mendhar Sub Division of the district worked out a theft case and recovered batteries and other stolen property.
Official sources said that special police teams at Police Station Mendhar under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar, Sheezan Bhat were constituted and the team led by SHO Gursai, Inspector Farooq Khateeb assisted by SI Shabir Ahmed after collecting various evidences, arrested the accused persons namely- Krishan Lal, son of Nama Ram, resident of Mendhar; Subash Chander, son of Chandi Ram, resident of Hoshiarpur in Punjab A/P Hakeem Morh in Mendhar and two more persons who are juveniles.
The accused persons are involved in case FIR No 33/2023 U/S 457,380 IPC of Police Station Gursai.
During questioning, accused confessed their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure the stolen batteries and other property was recovered.
The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of Addl SP Poonch, Mushim Ahmed and SSP Poonch, Rohit Baskotra.
