SAMBA, Feb 24: Police arrested a thief red-handed while breaking open locks of a shop at main bazaar here.
As per police sources, during patrolling, police nabbed a thief red-handed, who was trying to burgle a shop on the name and style M/s Aman Provisional Store at main bazaar here.
The accused has been identified as Rahul Kumar, son of Shanker, a resident of Silligudi West Bengal, at present Chak Manga, District Samba.
A case under FIR Number 37/16 under Section 457 and 511 RPC has been registered at police station Samba and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Samba police station Inspector Sanjeev Chib made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Samba Varinder Singh and SSP Samba Joginder Singh.
