Thief arrested, stolen autos recovered

JAMMU, Mar 11: Sarwal police nabbed a thief and recovered two stolen autos from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Ramesh Gupta, son of Davinder Gupta, a resident of Subash Nagar, Jalebi Morh stating that he had parked his passenger auto bearing registration number JK02AN-5805 which was stolen from Subash Nagar on March 9.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 40/16 under Section 379 RPC was registered at police station Bakshi Nagar and manhunt was launched to nab the accused.
During the course of investigation, several persons were rounded up, out of them one of the person namely Kuldeep Singh alias Gosha, son of Ranjit Singh of Janipur, at present Vikas Nagar confessed to the theft.
On his disclosure, stolen autos bearing registration numbers JK02AN-5805 and JK02AK-2077 were recovered and further questioning of the accused is going on as more recoveries are to be expected from him.
The arrest was made by SI Vikas Hans, Incharge Sarwal police post under the supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Sharma, Incharge SDPO West Sugandha Mahajan and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
