JAMMU, May 6: Arnia Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen cash from his possession.
As per police sources, on May 4 this year a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Arnia by a person namely Surinder Singh, son of Swarn Singh of Sai Tingali (Secretary Gurudwara Sahib Committee) pertaining to the theft at Gurudwara Sahib at Sai Tingali.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 35/2022 under Sections 454 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Arnia led by SHO Inspector Tilak Raj Sharma was constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh.
The team did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV cameras footages of the area finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Udey Kumar, son of Rajesh Kumar of Jabowal Tehsil Arnia District Jammu.
On his disclosure, stolen cash was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
