KATRA, Feb 26: Police worked out a theft case at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan and arrested the thief besides recovering the stolen items.
A written complaint was received from a pilgrim namely Kirti Maheshwari, wife of Arun Maheshwari, resident of Yamuna Nager, Haryana at Police Station Bhawan that her bag containing three mobile phones and cash of Rs 2500 was stolen on February from Manokamna Bhawan.
On receive the complaint, team of P/S Bhawan swung into action and a team was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Bhawan, Bhisham Dubey. With the help of physical and technical assistance, Police team arrested the accused person namely Ashok Kumar son of Joginder Singh, resident of Rupnagar Nangal Town Punjab and also recovered the stolen three mobile phones as well as cash in the instant case.
During further interrogation of the accused, five other phones costing approx Rs 50000/- were recovered. Recovery and arrest were made by SHO Bhawan, Insp Khyatiman Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Bhawan Bhisham Dubey.
