KATRA, Mar 5: Police worked out a theft case within hours and arrested the accused besides recovering stolen mobile phones and other items worth more than Rs 1.65 lakh.
A case FIR was registered on the basis of complaint received from a pilgrim Atharv Sulakhiya of Chorai, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh at Police Station Bhawan that unknown person had stolen four mobile phones along with the other items worth Rs 160,597/-.
Following the complaint, a special team led by SHO Bhawan Khyatimaan Khajuria, rounded up many suspects and successfully recovered four mobile phones and stolen property worth Rs 160,597/- from the accused person, identified as Rahul Singh son of Subash Singh of Pakhlai, Udhampur.
Further interrogation of the accused ascertaining his involvement in other cases of similar nature is going on.
