REASI, Mar 22: Reasi Police worked out a theft case within 24 hours and arrested the thief besides recovering the stolen property (tyres of a Truck Trailer).
An FIR in this connection was registered at Police Post Jyotipuram following complaint by Anil Kumar Singh, son of Sai Dass, resident of Kota, Tehsil Hiranagar, District Kathua regarding theft of tyres of his Trailer bearing registration number GJ06BT-8908 near Gurudwara Jyotipuram.
After hectic effort and by using human and technical intelligence, Police arrested a dumper driver namely Maroof Ahmed son of Ghulam Nabi, resident of Bhella Tehsil Bhella, Distt Doda. During interrogation, he confessed to have committed the said crime. On his disclosure, stolen property i.e. two tyres along with rims worth Rs 60,000/- were recovered within 24 hours of registration of FIR.
The whole operation was led by Incharge PP Jyotipuram, PSI Rohit Sharma and SHO Reasi Vijay Sharma under the supervision of DySP headquarters Reasi Neeraj Padyar.
