JAMMU, Dec 20: Janipur police arrested a thief and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, during the intervening night of November 22 and 23 a complaint was lodged in Janipur Police Station regarding theft of a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BX-3219.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 103/18 was registered at Janipur Police Station and hunt was launched to nab the accused.
During the course of investigation, several suspects were rounded up and finally the thief was arrested, who has been identified as Bunty, son of Sham Lal of Thathar Paloura.
Further questioning of the thief is going to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Janipur Inspector Rajpal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sheema Nabi Qasba, SP City Amritpal Singh and DIG JKS Range/SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
