JAMMU, Sept 11: Domana Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen items worth Rs 1.40 lakh from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a person namely Naresh Kumar Sharma, son of Behari Lal Sharma of Patoli Brahmana with Police Station Domana stating that some unidentified thieves decamped with some items from his shop in Patoli Brahmana.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 317/2022 under Sections 454 and 380 was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Tilak Raj Sharma and assisted by PSI Sumeet Sharma after strenuous efforts arrested the thief and recovered the stolen items and a scooty bearing Registration Number JK02CC-3968 from his possession.
The arrested thief was identified as Sunny Bali, son of Madan Lal Bali of Jagti, Tehsil Nagrota, District Jammu, at present Purkhoo Camp, Domana, District Jammu.
Further questioning is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
