JAMMU, July 18: Police today arrested a thief and recovered stolen scooter from his possession.
A police spokesman said that, a written complaint was lodged with Police Station Miran Sahib regarding stealing of scooter bearing registration number JKO2N-3649 on July 16.
After registering a case under FIR No. 77/13 under Section 379 RPC at Miran Sahib Police Station, police started investigation.
During investigation, police rounded up Kuldeep Singh Mikka, son of Bachan Singh of Lalowal, Gurdaspur, Punjab, who confessed the crime, he said, adding that on his disclosure, the stolen scooter was recovered from the bushes at Miran Sahib.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
