UDHAMPUR, Dec 5: Udhampur Police have solved a theft case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovering the stolen Diesel Generator Set from their possession.
Police Station Udhampur had received a written complaint from one Anil Verma of Sitla Mata Mandir Chabutra Bazar Udhampur stating that some unknown thieves stole his Diesel Generator from Omara Morh, near India Kids School, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur. In this regard, case FIR No. 482/2024 under relevant section of law was registered in PS Udhampur.
Taking cognizance of the matter, a special team of PS Udhampur led by SHO Raghuvir Singh was formulated to solve the case and nab the culprits. During the investigation, several suspects were rounded up by the police team and put to sustained questioning during which two suspects namely Kadar Hussain son of Hassan Din of Dalphar, Udhampur and Pritam Kumar son of Channi Ram of Omara Morh Udhampur confessed their involvement in the crime.
On confession of both the accused persons, stolen property (Diesel Generator) worth around Rs 1.5 lacs/- has been recovered by the police. Further investigation into the matter is in progress.
