DODA, Mar 15: Police here today worked out a theft case within 24 hrs of registration of the FIR wherein Government property was stolen.
A complaint was lodged by an employee of NHIDCL Harjot Singh at Police Post Khellani regarding dismantling and theft of crash barriers installed on Khellani-Goha road in Doda.
In this connection, a case in FIR number 50/2024 U/S 379/IPC was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation was started.
A Police team headed by PSI Shubam Sharma, Incharge Police Post Khellani swung into action and rounded up four suspects who during questioning confessed their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure 27 crash barriers were recovered which the thieves had concealed in thick vegetation in Khellani area.
A car of Alto make bearing registration number PB69C-8514 used in the crime was also seized and investigation was going on in the case and more recoveries are expected from the arrested thieves in other theft case.
