Third batch of 1,458 Amarnath pilgrims leave from Jammu

JAMMU :  Third batch of 1,458 pilgrims today left for the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath from the Yatri Niwas base camp here.
“As many as 1,458 pilgrims including 1,097 males, 203 females and 13 left for the cave shrine from the Bhagwati Nagar based yatri Niwas,” an official spokesperson here said.    He said the yatris left in a convoy of 46 vehicles, including 35 Light Motor Vehicles, 11 buses.
The first bus left at 0445 hrs with security arrangements.
