Those keen to topple Cong govt should need lessons in upcoming LS poll: CM Sukhu

SHIMLA, Mar 5 : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu appealed to the people of the state that BJP leaders and a few political opportunists of the party who made a futile attempt to topple the Congress government in the state should be taught a lesson in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.

Addressing a public meeting at Nerwa under the Chopal Assembly, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that he comes from a very common family and was on the target of the nexus of the BJP and a few black sheep in Congress, but they could not succeed in unthorning a commonman.

He said that 65 percent of the council of ministers of the Congress government came from a common background; however, under a nefarious design, a coup was hatched to topple this people-centric government.

He announced to set up a Rs ten crore indoor stadium at Nerwa and informed that an indoor stadium would be built up in all 68 assembly constituencies to help the youth hone their skills.

The chief minister announced plans to build up a mini-sector at Kupvi and start PG courses in the two subjects in the degree at College Nerwa. He said that ultrasound facilities would be provided in the Nerwa hospital on priority, and a primary health centre would be upgraded in the subdivision.

The chief minister said that all the girls, after attaining 18 years, would get the Indira Gandhi Samnan Behana Sukh Rashi from April 2024 on. (UNI)
