SRINAGAR, Oct 3: Thous-ands of devotees thronged Chrar-i-Sharif on the occasion of annual Urs of Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) at historic town of Chrar-i-Sharif in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Apart from men and children, women devotees were seen seeking supplication on the third and final day of annual Urs, which started on October 1 for three days and concluded today.
The Urs celebrations has begun with Poshak Bandi (Laying of Chadder) on the Mausoleum of the revered saint on October1, followed by Shab Khwani and Darood-u-Azkar Mehfil on October 2 and the main function was held today, but the celebrations will continue upto October 11.
Special transport facilities were available in all roads leading to town.
Meanwhile, scores of devotees who visited Chrar-i-Sharif on the occasion have hailed the Transport Department for making elaborate transport arrangements for the devotees.
