JAMMU, Mar 3: Jammu Police today succeeded in arresting three absconders who were evading their arrest since the lodging of FIR against them.
“An information was received from sleuths of DSB Jammu at Police Station Nowabad regarding two absconders namely Ajay Kumar son of Amar Nath, resident of Amb (tehsil Bhalwal, district Jammu) and Munna son of Daleep Kumar, resident of Gandoo Di Chawanni (Kanji House, Jammu), wanted in case FIR Number 90/2014 U/S 341/323/34 RPC of Police Station Nowabad,” a police spokesperson said.
He said acting on the information received, special teams of Police Station Nowabad under the supervision of Deputy SP Headquarters Swati Sharma were constituted. “The team led by SHO Police Station Nowabad Inspector Rajesh Khajuria after making strenuous efforts finally succeeded in arresting both the absconders,” the spokesperson said, adding, an arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC was also issued against the absconders by learned Sub Judge JMIC Jammu dated 6-12-2018.
The spokesperson said further investigation was going on to ascertain various activities of these absconders since the lodging of the FIR.
Similarly, he said, acting on specific information regarding an absconder namely Gurmeet Singh alias Prince son of Amlok Singh, resident of Gadigarh (Jammu), who was evading his arrest since long in case FIR Number 123/2020 U/S 8/15/29/NDPS Act of Police Station Pacca Danga Jammu, a police team of Police Station Panjtirthi led by SHO Inspector Raghubir Singh and assisted by SI Rahul Sharma arrested the absconder after strenuous efforts.
The absconder shall be produced before the Court of 1st Additional Session Judge Jammu, the spokesperson added.
