Three absconders arrested

JAMMU, May 17: Three absconders evading their arrests for last several years were today arrested by Jammu Police.
“Nirmal Singh son of Raghubir Singh, resident of tehsil Janyal, district Pathankot (Punjab), who was accused in a case FIR No 04/2016 U/S 279/338 IPC of Police Station Gangyal, was evading his arrest for last 6 years,” a police spokesperson said.
He said today on specific inputs, a team of Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh apprehended the accused from Pathankot and then produced him before 1st Additional Munsiff Forest JMIC Jammu for further proceedings.
Similarly, an absconder namely Ram Ji Das son of Sansar Chand, resident of Gurha Brahmana (Akhnoor), who was evading his arrest since 2015 in case FIR number 15/2015 U/S 279/304- RPC of Police Station Akhnoor, was arrested today by a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar (assisted by I/C BPP Garkhal ASI Rajinder Singh Parihar) under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial. Finally, the absconder shall be produced before the Court of JMIC Akhnoor.
Another absconder namely Abdul Rashid son of Mareed Bakash, resident of Manhor Gopala (Samba), who was evading his arrest since 2009 in a case FIR number 81/2009 of Police Station Bahu Fort, was arrested by a police team led by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Inspector Nayat Ali (assisted by PSI Farmeen Choudhary). Finally, the absconder was produced today in concerned court and court has sent him to District Jail Jammu.
