Three arrested for thrashing, restricting cops from performing duties

JAMMU, Oct 26: Bus Stand Police arrested three persons for thrashing and restricting cops from their legitimate duties.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bus Stand led by ASI Des Raj along with SgCt Narinder Kumar during patrolling found a car bearing Registration Number JK02CA-5118 parked in the middle of the road near Out Gate of Bus Stand, which has led to traffic jam.
When the cops were enquiring about the driver, three persons came and claimed that the vehicle belongs to them.
When ASI Des Raj asked them why they have wrongly parked the car, in return the persons started misbehaving and thrashing the cops and also restricted the cops from discharging their duties.
On getting information about the incident, SHO Bus Stand Inspector Deepankar Singh along with his PSOs immediately rushed to the spot, apprehended all the 3 persons and controlled the situation from worsening further.
The arrested persons were identified as Abiny Raina and Ashwani Raina, both sons of Maharaj Krishan Raina of Housing Colony, Janipur District Jammu and Vilas Tikoo, son of Ravi Tikoo of resident of Dranga Bhaderwah District Doda, at present Housing Colony, Janipur District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 69/2021 under Sections 353, 504 and 34 IPC has been registered against the arrested persons at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation started.
