Three bovine smugglers held

JAMMU, Mar 11: Police today arrested three bovine smugglers and rescued seven milch animals from their possession.
Police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Nagrota police station laid a naka and intercepted two Tata mobile vehicles bearing registration number JK14B-9940 and JK19-0498.
During checking, police recovered seven bovine animals and arrested three smugglers identified as Gulzar Ahmed, son of Mohi-ud-Din of Magarkote, Shahnaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohd of Panthial and Zaffar Ahmed, son of Mohd Yousaf of Ramsoo.
A case under FIR number 64/13 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
Police party led by SHO OP Chib made the arrest under the direct supervision of SDPO Khalik Choudhary.
