RAMBAN, Aug 9: In a special drive by Traffic Police NHW, a team of cops headed by Dy SP Jatinder Singh, DTI Katra, Inspector Novneet Verma and Traffic officials booked a number of violators for visible offences.
During the drive, DTI Katra at Nomain found excess passengers in buses plying on the road and seized three buses for overloading and FIRs were also registered in this regard.
The buses booked were with registration numbers JK02AV 5113, booked in FIR no. 219/24; JK02BK 5816 booked in FIR no. 220/24 and JK02AH 4779 booked in FIR no. 221/24 of MV Act.
Apart from this several taxis were also challaned for overloading, alterations in RCs, pressure horns and other visible offences and a fine of Rs 33,500 was realized during the drive.
