Three day course on ‘Cyber Crime’ commences

UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: In order to equip the investigating officers of J&K Police with the knowledge and skill of detecting and investigating the growing challenges of Cyber Crime all over the world, a 3 day course on, “Cyber Crime” commenced in the SK Police Academy here today.
The course has been designed to impart knowledge and skill in understanding malicious code, computer viruses, SIM card analysis, CDR, SDR, tower dump analysis, computer forensics and window forensics, steganography, system hacking using metaspolite and cyber laws.
During the course, eminent speakers from Central University Jammu, Government College of Engineering and Technology Jammu, Professionals from Cyber Police Station Jammu and faculty from SKPA Udhampur will be delivering lectures and demonstrations.
In the inaugural address, Mohan Lal, SSP, Assistant Director Outdoor/ Indoor emphasized the importance of investigating crimes committed in the cyber space and the future challenges for the investigating agencies to effectively deal with the Cyber Crimes.
