Three-day eye camp commences

LEH, Aug 31: Three-day eye camp organized by Health Department, Live to Love Organization and Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology Kathmandu commenced at SNM Hospital, here.
Out of the registered 170 eye patients mostly from Changthang region and other backward areas of Ladakh, who were referred for surgery by conducting cataract screening, nearly 100 eye patients have so far been treated with cataract surgery.
Eye Specialist Doctors of Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology Kathmandu have conducted the cataract surgery with great success story.
Gyalwang Drukpa Rinpochey along with the Chief Executive Councilor, Rigzin Spalbar today visited the SNM Hospital and met with each and every patient who have gone through cataract surgery.
Gyalwang Drukpa interacting with many patients enquired about their eye sight condition aftermath of surgery.
Among others present were Executive Councilor Health, Dr Sonam Wangchuk and Medical Superintendent Dr P Tsering.
