JAMMU, Nov 25: Three-day long conference on “Mentorship for Health Care Professionals into Oncocare”, organized by Lajwanti Medical Trust, Jammu in collaboration with Jammu AGOI Chapter and sponsored by J&K Bank concluded today at GMC, Jammu.
The theme of the conference was evidence based approach for identification and management of surgical and Gynaecologic Cancers.
On the concluding day, Dr Sumit Gujral, Chief Haematology Oncology and Dr Bharat Rekhi, Oncopathologist, both from Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai were guest of honours. Dr Kasturi Lal Director, Lajwanti Medical Trust and Organizer of the Conference presided over the function. Dr KK Kaul, Head of Department of Pathology GMC Jammu was also present.
Describing their satisfaction over the deliberations which took place in the teaching session, the invited faculty extended their full cooperation in organizing such training programmes in future to develop manpower in oncocare in Jammu.
The participants derived from various specialties of Surgery and basic sciences showed great enthusiasm to learn and utilize their experience gained from this mentored programmes for the better oncocare facilities in Jammu.
The skill development programme were conducted on gynaecologic oncology, minimal invasive surgery, breast surgery and pathology on the concluding day.
