JAMMU, Feb 7: The annual Mathwar Mela will be held on the eve of Basant Panchami at Dev Asthan Mathwar from February 8 to 10.
Like Jhiri Mela, on every Basant panchami, a grand congregation takes place at Mathwar Dev Asthan, the holy shrine and birth place of Baba Ballo Ji Maharaj. During this Utsav, thousands of devotees from far and wide congregate and pay obeisance to Baba Ji.
As per the programme, the Mela will be inaugurated on February 8 at 10 AM and on next day Pooja of Baba Ji will be performed from 11 AM to 1 PM. On February 10, the function will start with Havan at 9 AM. Purnaahuti will be performed at 12:30 PM and after that Bhandara will be opened for the devotees.
