RAJOURI, June 16:A three- day painters camp, organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts in collaboration with Himalayan Education Mission Society (HEMS), Rajouri, was inaugurated by MLC Vibodh Gupta at Himalayan College Rajouri.
Mohd Mumtaz Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri was the guest of honor on this occasion. Abdul Hamid Fani, Chief Education Officer, Rajouri, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, senior leader of BJP, DR J A Qazi and Nisar Hussain Rahi were the specials guests of the function. Senior and young artists from different states of the country are participating in this camp.
In his address, Vibodh Gupta said that Art is to be recognized at all levels –may it be in the interaction of the society, dealing with situations, organizing events or executing plans by the individuals or society. He said that the skills of the children should be recognized as early as possible and they should be prepared according to their aptitude and skills. He said that such kind of events provide ample opportunities to the students of the institutions.
Mohd. Farooq Muztar, founder patron Himalaya Education Mission Society Rajouri, said that such activities will prove to be beneficial to the students in learning the scope of possibilities in the fields of Art Culture and Languages.
O P Sharma, director, JKCCA, explained the aims and objectives of JKCCA.
On the occasion, some artists were felicitated. They included Jang S Verman from Jammu, Kulwant Singh Gill and Dharminder Sharma from Amritsar, Prabhinder Lall from Chandigarh, Reena Choudhary from Sonepat, Chhaya Dubey from Bhopal; Amrit Kaur, Anuradha Devi, Sahil Ohri and Dhananjay from Jammu; Tariq Mehmood from Surankote, Jyoti Singh from Gaziabad; Rakshanda Yadav from Bheem Tal and O P Sharma from Jammu.
