JAMMU, Mar 13: A three days workshop on Forensic Science organized by Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratory J&K culminated today.
The workshop was inaugurated by Director Forensic Science Laboratory, Pardeep Kumar.
The workshop was conceptualized in view of latest techniques being adopted by criminals in conducting organized crime. Gazatted/non-gazzated officers drawn from various investigating agencies such as VOJ, crime, police agencies attended the workshop.
While addressing the participants, Directors FSL emphatically advised the participants to take maximum advantage of ‘Forensic Science’ right from the scene of crime occurrence as the physical evidences collected from the crime scene, act as mute witnesses and when collected and packed correctly they speak up and from a very important witness during the judicial proceedings.
Exhaustive lectures were delivered by forensic experts to the participants to inculcate and upgrade scientific temperament participants suggested that such programs need to be organized periodically for all the investigating officers and lower subordinates of all investigating agencies so that the scientific temperament percolates down to gross root level also in all 80 officers/officials of state police, vigilance organization, crime branch attended the workshop during the three days programme.
