Three drown, 3 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, May 27: Three persons were drowned and three others were injured in different road accident.
Three persons were drowned when a Tata Mobile 207 they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into the river Shangoo near Shemsha, Kharboo, in the jurisdiction of Police station Drass, Kargil. Efforts are on to retrieve the bodies from the river.
Meanwhile, a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number Jk18/3457 rammed into an electric pole near Shurat, Kulgam, in the jurisdiction of Police station Kulgam, resulting in injuries to the driver of the vehicle. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police Kulgam has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, a Motorcycle bearing registration number JK04B/8852 collided with a tipper bearing registration number JK04/1530 near Town Hall, Budgam, in the jurisdiction of Police station Budgam, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another accident, an Alto car bearing registration number JK05A/4379 collided with a Wagon-R bearing registration number Jk02AE/1152 near Degree College, in the jurisdiction of Police station Baramulla, resulting in injuries to two person who were travelling in the car. Both the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment. Baramulla Police has registered a case in this regard.
