Three drug peddlers arrested with heroin, cash

JAMMU, July 21: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 300 grams heroin and Rs 3,06,000 cash.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Pankaj Sharma and assisted by PSI Sonu Choudhary and PSI Basharat Hussain laid a naka near Goda Chowk Nanak Nagar and intercepted two vehicles bearing registration number JK02CH-3911 and JK12A-1158.
During checking, police team recovered 300 grams heroin and Rs 3,06,000 cash from the possession of three persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Mukhtayar Ahmed, son of Faiz Akbar of Phagla Tehsil Surankote District Poonch, Zafar Iqbal, son of Munshi Khan of Harni Tehsil Mehndar District Poonch and Tariq Mohd, son of Ghulam Nabi of Mankot Tehsil Mendher District Poonch, at present Chhani Rama District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 175/2022 under section 8/21/22/25/27-A/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SP South Mamta Sharma.
