SOPORE, Jan 22: Under the operation drug free Sopore, the police today arrested three notorious drug smugglers and recovered huge consignment of psychotropic substance from their possession.

As per the details, a team of Police Station Tarzoo establish a naka at Railway Crossing Amargarh, during naka checking a truck bearing registration no. JK 05C, 1271 was intercepted.
During search of the said vehicle, 3600 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon plus were recovered from a bag from the said vehicle.
During preliminary questioning the driver disclosed his identity as Rameez Wali Rather Son on Wali Mohd Rather, resident of Sahipora Kralgund Handwara.
He also disclosed that he has given a consignment to a person namely Shahnawaz Ahmed Shah alias Manzoor. The police also nabbed him with 744 spasmoproxyvon plus capsules from his possession.
During questioning he further discloses that he has given some quantity of that contraband to a person namely Shabir Ahmed, whom police apprehended nearby dangerpora Sopore with a quantity of 792 spasmoproxyvon plus capsules.
In total 5136 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon plus successfully were recovered. In this regard case FIR No 04/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 of NDPS act registered in PS Tarzoo and further investigation is going on.
