JAMMU, Apr 22: Three persons including two women allegedly ended their lives by hanging themselves at their respective residences in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a youth identified as Bharat Bhushan alias Guka son of Ratan Prakash, a resident of Sandrote (Jhajjar Kotli) was found hanging with the hook of the ceiling fan of his room late last night.
He said similarly, a woman identified as Salima Babi (45) wife of Nazir Hussain, a resident of Saili Tara (Dansal), was found hanging this morning at a cattle-shed near her residence.
“The bodies of both the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem at Government Hospital, Dansal”, the spokesman said, adding two separate cases in this connection were registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and inquest proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Santa Maya Thappa (35) wife of Ajay Kumar Thappa, a resident of Nepal, at present residing at Sunjwan Morh, was found hanging late last night with an iron angle of her house made of tin sheets.
After conducting post mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to their legal heirs for last rites. A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and inquest proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
